|Ronnie Howard is a teaching associate at ELI and has been teaching since 2009. He also served as a liaison for BSMP (Brazil Scientific Mobility Program) students at ELI. He served for 10 years in the US Navy, during which time he was stationed in Sardinia, Italy, and traveled throughout the Mediterranean region as far as Egypt, Greece, and Turkey. He was also stationed at Bahrain and visited UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. He earned his master’s in TESOL at Carson-Newman University.
What do you enjoy most about working at ELI?
The ability to meet people from around the world and helping them achieve language goals.
What advice do you give to new ELI students?
Use the language. Watch TV. Listen to music.
What is your favorite spot on campus?
What is something you love about Knoxville?
It’s not too big.
What are a few of your favorite books?
I love Anne Rice, biographies, history, and adventure.
What are some TV shows you enjoy?
I like to watch documentaries, CNN, and mystery shows.
