ELI Instructor Charity Davenport has been awarded a grant by the Scholars’ Collaborative at University Libraries for her work publishing an open textbook for advanced ESL students. Davenport’s book, It’s All Greek to Me!, uses stories from Greek mythology to teach English and American culture. Open textbooks help make educational materials more affordable, and thereby more accessible, because they are licensed under creative commons licenses and can be acquired at little to no cost.  It’s All Greek to Me! can be accessed at iagtm.pressbooks.com.
