Formal vs. Informal Language in English Writing and Speaking
This workshop covers the “parallel languages” of formal and informal English, helping non-native speakers choose the appropriate level of language for different uses in communication, from hanging out with friends to interviewing with prospective employers and writing formal reports.

Speaking Your Best English: Using Stress Patterns and Rhythms for Better Pronunciation
The key to speaking comprehensible English is not only producing individual sounds such as /r/ or /l/, but accurately using the strong stress and rhythm patterns that make English a musical-sounding language. You will learn how to speak more rhythmically, increasing the chances that Americans will understand what you are saying.
