Short-Term Program for International High School Students
Program Overview
The English Experience Camp is an intensive, cultural and linguistic program designed for international high school students (under 18) looking to enhance their academic skills and experience life at a large US-based university! The program is held during school breaks (Summer or Winter), offering a unique opportunity to improve both academic and colloquial English in an immersive environment.
Program Dates
Summer Program: July 12th-26th, 2025
Winter Program: January 29th-February 21st, 2026 (apply today!)
Program Highlights
Improve both written and spoken English in an academic setting. Four hours of English language instruction each day.
Experience life at the University of Tennessee and gain firsthand knowledge of American culture and academic life. Accommodations are in the university dorms.
Gain insight into U.S. higher education and prepare for success in a university setting.
Application Details
- Eligibility: The program is open to students with a B1-level English proficiency or higher.
- Visa Requirements: Students may need to apply for a visa. Details for each program are coordinated with our immigration compliance office.

- Transportation: Transportation will be provided from TYS, Knoxville’s main airport.

- KGHS : Lead coordinator for the Muroran, Japan international summer program, facilitating activities and supporting students throughout their experience.
Dining and Accommodation
- Dining: Students will have access to Rocky Top Dining Hall on campus. Please visit UTDining for details.
- Accommodation: On-campus accommodations will be provided. Information will be shared upon acceptance into the program.
