Prospective undergraduate students who meet all other admission requirements except for English proficiency will receive conditional admission to UT. Those students will be issued I-20 Certificate of Eligibility, which leads to an F-1 visa or change of status. Students must meet English proficiency requirements before being admitted to a degree program and before being allowed to enroll in non-ESL courses. Conditionally admitted students who wish to enter the United States using UT’s I-20 MUST enroll in UT’s English Language Institute.

Clery Reporting: Annual Security and Fire Safety Report

In accordance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security and Campus Crime Statistics Act, the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, publishes an annual security and fire safety report. The report contains information on crime prevention, crime reporting, law enforcement policies and procedures, fire safety and statistics, emergency response and evacuation procedures, and other matters related to security and safety on campus. Clery reportable statistics for the three previous calendar years are included in the report. These statistics include crimes reported on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by UT; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus.
